B2 Final product and feedback

Image
After acting on the feedback for my draft product, this was my final product. Here is some of the feedback that I received on my final product. After acting on the feedback that I was given, here is the final product. When reflecting upon the feedback, I can see that 66.7% of people believed that my Final Product was an improvement from my draft product.  As you can see, I have adjusted the brightness of the image as this was the main topic of criticism that I received. In addition to this, I added the Sunderland Culture logo.

B2 Rough draft feedback

Image
While experimenting with my print ad, I decided to try an overlay by choosing a sun image from google and pasting it onto my photoshop project.  I experimented with the 'Linear Dodge (add)' blending mode in 'Layers' I also attempted to think of a tagline for my print ad. These were some of the responses that I received on my feedback form This feedback tells me that the improvements that I need to make involve playing around with the colours and balance, making the font more clear as well as making the shine less bright. I also experimented with another overlay. This is another example of a light overlay that I imported from Google. I resized it to my liking and then, proceeded to adjust the opacity. After acting upon the feedback I was given this was my final product.  These were the responses that I received for my other two draft products.

B2 Audience research

My Audience: My target audience are those ages 16-25 and in 2021 there is an estimated population of 5000,000 of those in the UK within this age range. As a part of my research, I conducted a survey for those between ages 16-25. The survey that I conducted received overwhelmingly negative responses. The questions on the survey had the main purpose of asking people what their opinions of Sunderland were, here is the survey as well as the responses https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSe-84YStA0MshsArLs21l66j1VadXcYbD8kJRi7QvvYjEQKRg/viewform?usp=sf_link: .The current estimated population of Sunderland in 2021 is 300,000. I also discovered that the most used social media site among young people and teenagers in 2020 was YouTube. This lets me know that YouTube would be the easiest platform that I could use to reach my target audience (Those aged 16-25). Facebook was the second most used social media platform. This is important as Facebook is better suited to provide conte...

B2 Analysis of existing products

Image
Analysis of existing products: I chose to analyse three existing print ads. This was the first one: This print advert exists to spread awareness of littering and to try to prevent it. This is done by using a close up shot and clever visual that combines different texts on pieces of litter to brand those who litter as lazy. The word ‘lazy’ is being used as a negative label in order to shame those who litter and make people think twice about doing so in the future. The creators of this ad also use the phrase “Littering says a lot about you. ” This really causes the viewer/ audience to reflect and evaluate what littering would say about someone and what sort of person would be a litterer. If a viewer of this ad happened to be a litterer they may feel personally targeted by this advert as well as the negative connotations that come with littering and this could easily cause them to change their ways. This ad also features the company name/ logo ‘Livegreen’ in the bottom right hand c...

My Client: My client for my project is Sunderland Culture.
